Video Recap of Via Ferrata Izvoare II.
On August 30th, 2024, an inclusive via ferrata event took place at Via Ferrata Goats Danger in Izvoare-Madaras. Seventeen participants gathered, eager to take on the challenging route. Instructors Andreea and Pavel led the day, which focused on building climbing skills while making the experience enjoyable for everyone.
To start, Andreea and Pavel introduced the equipment and covered safety protocols. They demonstrated essential knots, like the double fisherman’s and prusik, to ensure each participant felt secure before the climb. Then, to meet everyone’s skill levels, they split the group. More confident participants started the route first, while others practiced knot-tying at the base with guidance.
With support from the instructors, the first group moved confidently, developing skills and finding their pace. Andreea and Pavel offered individual help, allowing time for questions and guidance. After they completed the route, the second group began their climb, feeling prepared and eager.
By the end of the day, each participant had successfully finished the course, gaining a sense of accomplishment and community. This experience left participants feeling empowered for future adventures, showing that with support, obstacles can be overcome.
