Video Recap of our activity at Via Ferrata Czesznek
On July 15, 2024, a Via Ferrata event was organized in Csesznek, Hungary, bringing together participants from across the country. This local sport event, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program, aimed to support individuals through physical challenge, teamwork, and adventure.
The participants, met as early as 9:30 AM before scaling the stunning Via Ferrata routes around Csesznek Castle. The event focused on empowering individuals with no prior experience but a passion for the outdoors. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, participants received hands-on training on key safety practices, such as knot-tying and the use of specialized gear for safe climbing. Educational tutorial videos were also provided to introduce participants to the fundamentals of via ferrata safety.
The core objective was to inspire a shift toward an active, conscious lifestyle by introducing participants to new outdoor experiences. The event also served as a means to encouraging individuals to overcome physical and mental challenges within a supportive community.
Through this activity, the participants not only discovered the beauty of Csesznek’s landscapes but also gained confidence, practical skills, and a shared experience.
