In today’s rapidly evolving world, technology is transforming every aspect of our lives. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is at the forefront of this revolution, and it’s essential that young people understand its implications, benefits, and risks. Our project, “AI Era” aimed to bridge the knowledge gap and provide young individuals with the tools they need to navigate the digital landscape responsibly. Here’s a look back at how the project unfolded, its impact, and the lasting benefits it has created for participants across Europe.

The primary goal of our project was to empower young people from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds with the necessary AI and digital literacy skills. By providing them with the knowledge and skills to evaluate information critically and responsibly, we aimed to prepare them for the challenges of the modern, tech-driven world.

Our project brought together young people from 6 different countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, and Lithuania. Through a Youth Exchange, the project fostered collaboration, cross-cultural understanding, and personal growth. The participants engaged in hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, and group activities that focused on critical topics such as responsible digital citizenship, ethical use of AI, and the importance of digital skills.

One of the most powerful aspects of the project was the opportunity for participants to learn from one another. Each partner organization brought its own expertise and local knowledge, ensuring that participants had a well-rounded understanding of AI and its global impact. In addition to the training sessions, participants shared their personal experiences and insights with their peers.

One of the key outcomes of the project was an increase in digital literacy among participants. By learning how to use AI tools and evaluate digital content critically, participants gained the ability to distinguish between trustworthy and misleading information. This skill is increasingly important in today’s world, where misinformation and fake news are rampant.

In addition to improving their digital competence, participants developed essential life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making. These competencies are crucial not only for navigating the digital world but also for contributing positively to society.

The project didn’t just equip participants with technical skills; it also helped them build lasting friendships.
